Mmm, yaoi! I was practically squeeing half-way through! I think I’m getting the story, though. The smell of hassaku calms the wolves, or whatever the townspeople are. There’s something about Hiroshi that attracts people, and he happened to arrive when the hassaku harvest was poor. Thus the yaoi! *cough* ‘Scuse me, I’m a fangirl.
I hope it doesn’t drag on with the revelations, however. We’re already at episode 3 and not much in the way of concrete evidence of what’s going on. Maybe the next one we’ll get lucky, since in the preview Hiroshi mentioned something about the girl with the scythe.
