As time wines down to the date of our convention, I realize how much work there is still left for me to too. I still have 4 Dealer Spaces to fill (2 if you split them up into double spots) so I’m having my partner get in touch with some contacts this week. I also need to design a flier to be handed out at Tuacahn High School of The Preforming Arts as well as Dixie State College.
I was hoping we would be able to hit other local high schools but with my work and my partners college classes, I don’t think it’s going to happen. >.< Slowly but surely I'm getting down with the event program. So far I've got the full Event Schedule and Screening Schedule pages designed. I'm still waiting for FUNimation to give me their add to include in our booklet also.
Thankfully, we are getting some help members of a local cosplay group (they were from the Host Club cosplay group who has been at other anime events in town) so they are going to be a big help to us the day of the con.

I also got contacted by Chuck Huber Publicist yesterday (He’s the guy who voices Shou Tucker from Full Metal Alchemist). Apparently Mr. Huber is interested in coming as a guest to promote an online convention he wants to start as well as hold “American Idol” type auditions for a anime web min-series.
It's not that I don't want the guy to come. :rolls eyes: The thing is that I wish people would look at the date of our convention. It’s less then a month away. The schedule is already being worked on and it’s kind of hard to move things around at such short notice. What also bugs me is that the email looks very cookie cutter. However…as with all things, I still inquire back. I can already imagine what they are going to say. They want us to pay for his hotel room, fly him out and all this other crap. Yeah…not going to happen a month before our convention. We are already paying for another guests room and board at the moment.
Now if he wants to be like Warky T. Chocobo and come just in return for a badge and to promote himself, I have no problem with that. I might be able to work things around for that. But right now I’m still a bit iffy about it.
